Alphonse Carlo Jazz Band

The Alphonse Carlo Jazz Band, led by Kenneth Boyd, is a 17-20 piece ensemble that focuses on the study of big band jazz music. Students learn the theory behind jazz composition and improvisation and have the opportunity to do sectional work with some of the area's top jazz musicians. This ensemble is for students ages 14 to 20.

No qualifying student will be turned away from FSYO because of an inability to pay Tuition. FSYO fundraises to provide Tuition Financial Aid for musicians whose families demonstrate need. Financial Aid is not available for the Audition Fee, Concert Tickets, or uniform cost. Please contact the FSYO office to request a Financial Aid Application.
